Kyiv was a great city and I got in a lot of walking while I was there. Our hotel was a riverboat (Bakkara Hotel that had been converted into a really nice "boatel".
I saw the Motherland monument in the distance and figured it was close enough to walk. I hoofed it up a reallllly steep hill (about 25ยบ) behind the church grounds, and eventually made it over to the Motherland monument and took a bunch of pics there.
It was the first gig of the run and it felt good. "First gig" is always a magical performance and there's a lot of video footage from that gig. I've included some in this album.
