MARK STUART- Singer/Songwriter, and founder of the critically acclaimed band Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash- Has shared the stage with such notables as Merle Haggard, Buck Owens,Willie Nelson,John Hiatt,Lucinda Williams,George Jones, and Steve Earle. He's built an international reputation as a skilled recording artist and tireless live performer.

He was given permission to use the band's name by Johnny Cash himself- then persoanlly invited to record songs for his first cd at Cash's home in Hendersonville,Tennessee. A strong believer in taking the music to the people-his constant touring and hard work have built Stuart a loyal grass roots following both in the States and abroad. Talented enough to share his songs in front of thousands with Willie Nelson and friends at the 4th of July Picnic in Luckenbach,TX- and lucky enough to record duets with fans of his music such as Billy Bob Thornton in the Hollywood hills.

His songs have been included on several European compilations featuring the groundbreaking artists in American Music, including the well respected "Way Beyond Nashville" and "Beginners Guide to Americana". Stuart is a passionate advocate of keeping the sounds and traditions of American Roots Music alive, while doing his best to stretch its boundaries. His music has recently found more exposure on the HBO hit television series True Blood and Joan of Arcadia, and his four albums have all spent time at the top of the worldwide Americana Charts.

His last cd Bend in the Road was distributed worldwide by Warner Brothers through a partnership with the Dualtone Music Group out of Nashville. He's been a creative force on the Alt. Country/Americana Music scene for the last 15 years. His latest creative project The "Bluegrass Bastards" is scheduled for release in 2012.

Description

My inspiration and vision of The Turquoise, Cafe Bar Europa, is to recreate the feeling of the small, local bars of southern Europe. Places where the people stop and gather, to hear the news, catch up with friends, relax and enjoy a coffee and a fine pastry or a small meal and a glass of wine.

They are found in the countries that border the Western Mediterranean Sea, that same sea which has been named since ancient times as the Turquoise Sea, a sea that meets and mingles all upon its shores with the real and mythical, joyous and jubilant, serious and serene. Places where I saw more similarities than differences, and when seen as a whole, make up a region all its’ own.
