London was amazing, as usual! We played at the 02 Islington venue, a concrete fortress with a great live sound. Our sound crew were amazing and it's one of the better monitor mixes I'd gotten while out with Paul. I use the Etymotic Research ER4 XR earphones. They make it really easy to control what I get to my ears by acting as earplugs and the effect sort of "zeroes out" the ambient room noise and any audio maladies that may occur.
I walked around that part of the city after set up and soundcheck and had some noodles in a bar that I stumbled upon and then a takeaway sushi bar kinda popped up in front of me and well... I ate that too. :D
I do remember Paul's Marshall amps getting glitchy and we had to figure out something because the next stop was Birmingham and eventually Milton Keynes, close to the actual Marshall amp factory so eventually, stuff would get sorted.
The one thing I think I took away from London was that how absolutely impressive it was to witness Costa drive that big ol' coach through the hairpin turns of London. That was some precision driving!
